Seen a strange color while on drugs?

Hello,

Recently I took LSD at home with my best friend for the first time in years.

At one point, I was looking at a small white object, and it turned a color I'd never seen before. I almost freaked out because I'd never heard of such a thing. It wasn't brief; I could see it for a few seconds before I blinked. Of course, I was imagining it, but despite everything, I saw a color there that I'd never seen before.

You can probably imagine that I can't describe to you what it looked like. There is no mixture that can produce that. It was a darker color, but a color that had never been seen before.

Since then I think about it every day, I can no longer visualize the color because I have only seen it once and have no comparison.

My question is actually whether it's possible that we don't yet know all the colors. In quotation marks, colors do exist in our brains, but it still bothers me a lot.

I wish I could show what I saw

As synaesthesia arises on psychedelics, sensory perception is mixed, I can imagine that at the moment when you perceive the color, other senses have also played in and you have perceived it so completely new.

So the thing is not that you have discovered a new color, but you have thrown colours together with all your senses into a new construct.

That was a disorder of perception. People can only see the basic colors (RGB), everything else is imagination. Birds can see, for example, UV light, but what it looks like is unknown.

P.S.: I saw something like Maya Glyphen during meditation, the basic color was like turquoise, but completely surreal

That’s the problem with drugs, you can’t get what you’re experiencing anymore.

These color phenomena are well known, many also hear colors..

LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) is a synthetic derivative of lysergic acid, an alkaloid of the rye-growing fungus Claviceps purpurea (mother grain). It is usually offered in the form of colourful extinguishing paper, which has been impregnated in LSD solution. More rare are LSD pills or LSD drops. It can also be injected into muscle or vein. Trade and property are illegal.

Pharmacological action

LSD is considered to be one of the most widely known hallucinogens, which already produces a changed state of consciousness from a quantity of 25 μg. Only a very small part passes through the blood-brain barrier into the brain, yet the effect is immense there.

LSD activates various serotonin receptors in the brain. It has not yet been understood precisely why the influence on the serotonerge system leads to hallucinations. For the hallucinogenic effect, however, the receptor type 2A appears to be responsible for the central nervous system

nerve cellsinhibited by the LSD, there is probably an overstimulation – with the corresponding consequences. LSD also binds to dopamine receptors. The consequences are unknown. However, it does not generate strong dopamine release and therefore also no euphoria and no psychic or physical addiction.

Effects taken on body and psycheOral uses the effect after about 30 minutes. In the muscle sprayed, consumers feel after 20 minutes, injected into the vein already after five minutes an effect. The effect lasts up to twelve hours. At the beginning, blood pressure increases and heartaches can occur, also nausea is not rare. The pupils are widening. The most well-known are optical and acoustic hallucinations by LSD: colors and tines are perceived more intensively, for example, objects appear to be deformed or altered. It can also
Synaesthesiathe mixing of sensory impressions – such as listening to colors or smelling tines. The tendency to self-perception is increased, and the self-as well as the feeling of time are changing. It comes to a state of half sleep, in which dreams and illusions are perceived as real and lead to seemingly unusual relationships.

Whether you experience the experiences of an LSD trip as positive or negative, depends strongly on your own mental condition (set) and the environment (setting). Positive experiences can trigger euphoria, negative panic and anxiety attacks, persecution ideas and acute psychotic reactions. LSD quickly leads to a development of tolerance which, after decommissioning, develops within five to six days. It can also trigger circulation regulation disorders.

Risks

LSD does not lead to severe poisoning. High doses can lead to increased saliva flow, nausea and vomiting, to flat, quick breathing and heart rases, restlessness, trembling and coordination disorders, anxiety states and experiences of depersonalisation (

Long-term permanent intake may lead to oversaturation of experience and is suspected
Depressionand to trigger personality change. About 15 percent of consumers suffer from flashbacks in which weeks, months or years after the last LSD trip psychotic phenomena can occur.
