Hello everyone,

Today in fourth period, we had German, and I urgently needed to go to the bathroom because I had my period. Normally, I'm banned from the bathroom because I last went to the bathroom without a note, and the ban is in effect until Friday. Under normal circumstances, I could handle it, but with my period, I just couldn't. I argued with the teacher, but it didn't help. Finally, I just got up and went to the bathroom without permission because I felt uncomfortable talking about this topic in the middle of class.

During fifth period, the principal called me out and made me talk to him about it for an hour. He explained to me that as a consequence, I'd get a call to my parents, have to make up an hour's work, and write a letter of apology. I don't understand what I'm supposed to apologize for. For going to the bathroom? I interrupted the class for a maximum of two minutes. Do you think this is a fair consequence?

My personal opinion is that in this case you may go to the toilet if you notice that the blood is running, it may not be to appeal to the assembled class that is very humiliating.

Good for you.

I found this.

TheToilet visit during classis a delicate subject. Teachers can feel disturbed by the unrest in the class and not always some students have an urgent need when they rush to the toilet. But teachers are allowed to walk to the quiet placelimit to breaks?

Answer:

If pupils repeatedly go out during teaching, the teacher and pupil cansignificantly disturbing. And some pupils may also use a longer toilet visit as a welcome break from school supplies. It happens again and again that teachers in responseBan on toiletsduring teaching. This can be understood a bit far. The situation is, however, anything but a bagatelle.

Urgent need

If a teacher forbids his pupils from the passage to the quiet place, he mayeven criminaldo. Especially children often cannot control the need for toilets. Long negation can lead to physical discomfort in extreme cases. In any case, it is very good for a childhumiliating, if it can’t stop, and in the middle of the class something goes into the pants.

Legal basis

The right to a visit to the toilet is not explicitly enshrined by law, but this is the result ofcompulsory carethe teacher and theGeneral Personality Lawthe pupil. The fundamentally guaranteed physical integrity also plays an important role.

Criminal proceedings

Various offences can be carried out by a teacher through a ban on toilets. Consideration is given to the abuse of protection officers, personal injury in office, violation of care and education. Also killing and insulting could involve the prosecutor in his examination. It isby Kavaliersdelikte. Teachers are also always threatened with a disciplinary procedure.

Rules allowed

It is fully permissible that schoolsclear rules for the corridor to the toiletand limit it to the breaks, for example. However, these rules must alwaysExceptionstolerate and, for example, allow the use of toilets in emergency. Even in the case of health problems such as a gastrointestinal disease, a affected student must not be prevented from escaping.

Paying attention to personality

It is useful to discuss with the students the rules and encourage them to address the teacher outside the class, for example, to health problems. In no case should the teacher discuss the need of the pupil in front of the assembled class and ask the pupil concerned for a detailed explanation. This would be inadmissibleInvolvement in personality lawof the child.

Peaches

The balance between the right of the pupils on one side and oneregulated course of instructionon the other hand is difficult. If a teacher suspects a student to abuse the toilet visit as a must, a conversation may also take place with parents. Ageneral ban on toilets is taboo. If this happens at your child’s school, you should contact the teacher and, if necessary, the school manager.

I cannot imagine that a ban on toilets is at all right

Please, your parents, turn on parental representation.

If that doesn’t help, I would inform the school office as a mother and ask for clarification.

“In principle, however, students are also permitted to go to the toilet during teaching. Forbids the teacher to walk in the toilet, he’s violating Art. 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), the ban on torture and inappropriate treatment.”

You must not be forbidden to go to the toilet.

You don’t have to do anything except talk to your parents. They should talk to the teachers.

You have the right to go to the bathroom.

I’d be interested in what the ban on toilets meant for missing note? Do you have to put your papers out to go or what?

From the fore to thee, it is a single innocence and as a mother I would ask very quickly for discussions with school leaders, teachers and parents’ council.

What did the headmaster have to discuss with you for an hour? It should have been enough if you admit that you definitely had to go to the toilet….ready.

I hope your parents will keep you there.

I would probably write a letter in your place as to how unworthy this circumstance is to have to explain yourself as a girl before teaching when you have his period.

No, that’s a nausea, I can’t. When I went to school at the time, the swim instructor at the girls checked the slips and tampons. Only then were the girls excluded from swimming lessons, disgusting.

How unworthy is that? I hope your parents have a few clear words for the so-called headmaster.

Primarily, the pauses for the toilet cycle are to be used. Why didn’t you do that?

Because in a period the blood flows, whether it’s just a break or not.

You could have changed Binde or Tampon during the break. Please don’t tell me you bleeded the bandage after half an hour.

Think about why she didn’t leave in the break.

I have always found this argument to be ashamed. If you don’t have to go to the toilet during the break, you don’t have to go logically, and during a period you can’t keep the blood back as with urine…

Sorry, but some girls and women have their bleeding so strong every day that they have to change at the latest every hour. For a girl in the school situation with evtl fear that it could be bleeding and seen, this situation is more stressful.

I already had bleeding days, the bandage was right through. Or the Tampon. Or the period started suddenly.

Why do you even have to discuss the bleeding behavior with you?
