Security guards ruin my jacket. Can I file a complaint?

Good morning,

I was at a party earlier and because I'm under 18, security came up to me at some point and tried to throw me out. I didn't resist because I knew they were just doing their job. Everything was going well until I got to the exit of the party when security tried to push me, so I fell and hit my back against a fence. My jacket now has a huge hole in it (new price for the jacket was €330, it was a North Face 700). I just wanted to ask if I can get compensation somehow, a few colleagues saw me do it. It was completely unnecessary for that security guard to push me. I'm really angry right now and just want justice. I think it's unfair to push someone for no reason and destroy their €330 jacket in the process. Can I do anything? I really didn't cause any trouble. I stayed completely calm despite the alcohol and talked normally to security, but the shoving at the end was simply unnecessary.

I’d call the security company first and let the boss give me. Maybe they have insurance for such cases and you’ll get your damage replaced.

I’d talk to the chief of the security company first. If you can’t show it, but that wouldn’t replace the jacket. Instead, you would have to claim damages from the company and, if necessary, sue.

Especially with such a jacket that is not cheap, you should be stressful.
