Hello!

Maybe this SD card is technically too new.

The SDHC format has now become a technical successor.

(What’s on the SD card?)

If this card reader might be here. “too old”, the “too modern” SD card is not recognized.

(Does it work with other SD cards?)

I did this myself when the SDHC format was re-introduced.

There was only a correspondingly modern USB card reader.

However, it could also be a driver problem if the internal card reader does not react to any card at all.

Go to the device overview and delete the associated device driver and install the latest version.

Greeting

Martin

I could imagine that the driver of your SD card reader is not installed. Write the serial number on the bottom of your laptop and go to the manufacturer’s side. There you enter the serial number and search for drivers. After a short search, you should find a driver for the Card Reader. Download, install and restart laptop. Then you can try it again.

If that doesn’t work either the SD card may be broken, or Windows won’t read the file system.

All right, try it out. Can of course also like has written in the Device Manager to see if the driver is already installed.

Device manager and there you can see if there are devices with nem exclamation marks, then either the driver is missing or there are problems with the same or the hardware itself
