Scooter speed too high after throttling?
I got an unrestricted Gillera SP Runner 50 and now I want to limit it to 50 km/h. I've already gotten it to 50 km/h with spacers, but the revs are much too high at around 11,500 rpm, and it's much too loud. How can I fix this problem? Thanks in advance 🙂
This is only logical, because with the spacer ring you have only throttled the transmission, but not the engine power. This is as if you were driving full gas permanently in the first gear with a switching vehicle.
If I remember correctly, the runner had a throttle orifice in front of the carburetor, which greatly reduces the passage. In principle, it would be possible to limit the speed via the CDI and a gas slide stop, but I do not know whether this was installed at the Runner factory.
If I buy a choke Cdi, can you put them straight? Without which you have to adjust?Or can you change the CDI yourself?
At an ordinary CDI you can usually not set anything, which is simply put in place of the old one.
Mine turns up to 9000 itself scooter
I had bought a CDI from a scooter workshop for 50 euros, which is locked at 9000.
Mountain down also 9200
Yes somewhere must be the reason he turns up to 12000
I don’t know if there was a choke in your work. If this is the case and it has been exchanged for an open one, then the reconstruction will already have an impact on the speed.
And I found a cdi, I’ve read that when scooters over 9000 turns is unthrottled, right?
should I replace them?
So if I order one for this scooter then it’s probably adjusted to 50 km/h or?
