Scooter sometimes has spark?
Hello,
My scooter wouldn't start for a while. So I checked the ignition spark, but it wasn't there. So I ordered a new spark plug. The new plug didn't work either. So I checked the cables leading up to the ignition coil. One cable broke at the connection to the ignition coil, but I don't know if this happened during removal or if it was already broken beforehand.
So I started the scooter again and I had a spark but it seemed weaker than before.
When I tried to start the scooter it didn't start that same evening. I checked the ignition spark again and there was no ignition spark.
Then the next evening I checked the ignition spark again. The first time I had sparks twice, but then there was no spark at all.
And now whenever I check I sometimes have a center and sometimes not much more often however I have no spark.
What could be the reason?
Unfortunately, no one here knows what scooter it is and therefore does not know what ignition it has.
From a distance, the problem is not to be assessed because there are several possibilities.
Often creep currents are a reason, sometimes a cable break or wobble contact in the feed line to the ignition coil and sometimes the ignition coil itself, sometimes it is also just a defective candle plug or defective ignition cable.
What bring a candle when the ignition coil or the stator has a macke.
There’s a new spark plug.
Many. Does the ignition coil get voltage? Is the ignition coil okay (which unfortunately can hardly be checked)?
