Scooter misfires?
Hello, I have a Peugeot Ludix and the problem is that after a certain time (about 500m) it simply starts misfiring and no longer moves.
I then installed a new spark plug, new ignition coil and new carburetor (because the old one wasn't the best anymore) and it still has the problems.
I'm slowly getting desperate. Can anyone help me?
Thanks for the info – I had asked because there is the scooter as “Ludix Pro” also with four-stroke engine.
Misfires often occur due to a wrong carburetor vote and even if the wrong carburetor is mounted….
There are “reconstruction gasifiers” in more or less good quality, which is often recognized at the price….
Especially in a two-stroke, which is lubricated via the petrol-oil mixture, the correct carburetor tuning is important to prevent engine damage.
Engine damage that becomes significantly more expensive than a quality carburetor or wage costs to let a carburetor stop in a workshop….
You should first check if you have installed the right carburetor and if the right nozzles are mounted there.
In principle, brand carburettors are delivered with a basic setting, which only needs to be readjusted somewhat because each vehicle is different.
Your scooter has a membrane control, so you should check if the membrane block is still in order and close the membrane tightly.
The membranes of the membrane block—also referred to as “flake valves” harden with time, do not lie flat anymore, thereby no longer close tightly or, even worse, dissolve, the pieces then lying in the crankcase…
Please look at the spark plug and pay attention not only to the candle image, but also to the heat value, whether the right candle is mounted at all.

Moin,
Then the ignition time will probably be set incorrectly.
How to adjust it to your vehicle, but I cannot answer you. In doubt, check the next two-wheeler.
Yes, but if he’s emptied and I didn’t do anything, that doesn’t make so much sense because he doesn’t stand alone
I remember the following situation: A car remains on the highway with a panne, and the driver says to the ADAC person “Until the Panne he ran”.
But it has a reason why faulty ignitions occur. Is also just a guess that you could exclude after successful testing the ignition time.
But to exclude it from the beginning, don’t take you any further.
Okay then I’ll check it right
Did you miss the (fitting!) carburetor the factory settings?
I guess there’s a mistake. Don’t mess with any carburetor…
I sent him back after the question and ordered another one that fits
…if the moped does not come from the spot again: open the tank clasp. If you hear a squeaking noise, you know that the tank ventilation does not work. As a result, a vacuum is produced and the carburetor receives hardly or even no more sprite.
How is such a tank normally vented?
Will the tank be vented? If so, control. It could otherwise create a subdusty.
I have
