Scooter indicator relay is acting up?

Hello, I drive a Pegasus sky 50 2-stroke AC 1st gen.

The scooter had been in the garage for half a year. When I tried to start it, it started right away, but the indicators weren't working properly. The indicator relay was switching too quickly, and the indicators would go on and off very quickly. As I increased the engine speed, the relay clicked faster and faster until it stopped working altogether. So I took the whole thing apart, ordered a new relay, installed it, and lo and behold, it didn't work again. Can you help me?

It could be that the problem with your scooter not only concerns the relay, but also other components in the flasher system. Some things you could check are:

  1. The flasher switches: The flasher switch is the switch you act to turn on or off the flasher. If it is defective, it could cause the relay to switch faster or the flasher does not work at all.
  2. The light bulbs: If the light bulbs are defective, this could cause the relay to switch faster because it does not allow enough power to pass.
  3. The flasher cable: If the flasher cable is damaged, this could cause the relay to switch faster or the flasher does not work at all.

It could also be that the problem is related to electronics in the scooter. In this case, it would be advisable to consult a person skilled in the art who can examine the system more closely and fix any defects.

Please check all the lights if they are still i.O. or if the contacts are clear. Sometimes it’s so simple things that can cause problems.
