Black spot in the eye (cat)?
My cat has had a spot in his eye for a while now. At first, it was just a slightly yellowish discoloration, but now it's a dark spot. What exactly could it be? I'm going to the vet soon, too. But I wanted to know if anyone here has had a similar cat experience.
Please let an ophthalmologist examine it as soon as possible.
It could be an irismelanomous, i.e. a tumor in the eye, these can be treated by laser treatment depending on cases, with bad it can be that the eye must be removed chirugically (but the latter does not affect the quality of life of the cat and the animals learn to deal with it).
However, it can also be a Harmless pigmentation that arises, but this cannot be determined as easily without veterinary examination, so it is advisable to visit a veterinarian as soon as possible, ideally it is Harmlos, with bad luck it could be a melanoma and that should be treated as quickly as possible.
Since the pet doctor is a veterinarian for general and basic studies, I would advise you to an ophthalmologist or an ophthalmologist clinic, these are better placed in such cases, even in terms of treatment and equipment. (As with us also the ophthalmologist.)
Thank you, I’ll be a vet as soon as possible.
How old is your cat? Couldn’t be Irismelanom, so a cancer tumor, but don’t have to. But if you discover something in the eye, please become a veterinarian, especially if it changes (grey or colour)
And even if it were a melanoma, it would be treatable, mostly with laser, or, but only in the Worst Case scenario, in which you remove the eye. But the stain could be just as good an age spot or something, the veterinarian will be able to tell you.
Good luck anyway 🙂
She will be 2 years old in May. Thanks for the helpful answer!
As DayBreaker321 already said, it might be helpful to let this be explained by an eye-catching veterinarian, but I would nevertheless go to your veterinarian who knows the cat, etc. He will then transfer you to a specialized TA.

does not look good, so the ophthalmologist will not be able to save any more because you write it exactly, it grows and leads to blindness

here says that it could be operated or carried away, now yes höllen op my opinion after(care afterwards) but better than blinding
you have to find an expert
Go best to veterinarian that could be many different symptoms
This can be a tumor, you should let it be quickly explained.
