Pregnant despite a negative test?

Hello! I have a question: Can you be pregnant despite a negative test result? Or does a pregnancy test remain positive throughout the entire pregnancy? For example, does it still show positive in the 7th month?

Background: I'm driving myself crazy, but unfortunately I only got an appointment with the gynecologist in January. Things went a bit unfavorably at the beginning/middle of this year. I was taking the pill, but not always on time. Anyway, I left for America at the beginning of August for my semester abroad! At first, I had terrible breast pain (which has gone away), and despite the pill, my periods were only light, or rather, they got lighter with each period. My stomach was and still is totally bloated, but I didn't gain any weight or anything like that. I then stopped taking the pill to see what would happen. I did have my withdrawal bleed, but it was minimal. However, I haven't had my period for two months now. One more piece of information: I've taken several pregnancy tests, all of them negative; I even took one in August. Still, I'm stressing myself out because I read online that a pregnancy test is only positive in the first trimester and can also be negative then. Because then I would be in my seventh month.

Thank you in advance for your answers!

can you be pregnant despite negative test results?

If you were too early, then yes. It takes up to about 14 days after ovulation until the HCG value in urine is high enough for a positive pregnancy test.

A pregnancy test remains positive throughout pregnancy? He’s sleeping in 7. Month, for example, still positive?

Yeah.

because I have read on the Internet that a pregnancy test is only positive in the first trimester and can then also be negative.

Where is such nonsense?

The HCG value of a non-pregnant woman is less than 5IU/l.

Early tests react from 10 IU/l and normal pregnancy tests from 25 IU/l. It is true that the HCG concentration has reached its peak after about 10 weeks and sinks again until the end of the pregnancy, but we still talk here from values above 5000 IU/l to birth.

The HCG value is therefore high enough for a positive pregnancy test at any time of intact pregnancy.

For 2 months, however, I did not have my days now

You dropped the pill, too. Until the natural cycle has reintroduced, it can take time. Approximately 40% of all women are experiencing irregularities first. In individual cases, it can take longer than six months until a period starts again, which is called Post Pill Amenorrhö.

You also have some stress and the semester abroad is likely to also change your diet (which is likely to explain your belly).

Although from the second trimester the placenta takes over the hormone production and until the end of pregnancy the hCG values gradually decrease.

However, both in blood and urine, the pregnancy hormone hCG can be detected throughout pregnancy – also with a simple test strip.

Happy for you!

and had my days even lighter and weaker from period to period

You don’t get any period under the pill. What you get is the so-called abortion bleeding or also hormone withdrawal bleeding, which can be used sooner or later, can be longer or shorter, or even sometimes completely absent….all this does not say anything about possible pregnancy

But for two months, I haven’t had my days now.

Of course, your body needs time to change again – in addition, you are abroad with change of time, stress and much more. Your body is not a Swiss movement.

Because I’d be in the 7th month.

…and notices massive child movements?!?

You are definitely NOT!!!!! pregnant!

How many dress sizes did he grow?

If you’re growing up like that without a reason, there’s something worse behind it than a pregnancy… already thinking about it?

… connected with the American food, which is known to be not very nutritious.

You are not pregnant and all your feelings now should teach you to deal with your contraception soon.

19 days after an accident, a test is safe and no, which will be negative only after the birth.

That you don’t have a period now is normal, that can take after dropping the pill. The bleeding in the break has nothing to do with the period.

No, for what? In the 7th month I saw the child’s movements, I already knew that I was pregnant. However, I also know that hCG never falls below the limit of detection.

The outbreak bleeding can also be quite randomly different.

I think this has changed so much through all the stress. And when the pill is dropped, the period also often remains longer.

In the 7th month, you would have a clearly visible baby farm and would already feel significant child movements.

And since the HCG remains the whole pregnancy in the blood, of course, a test of the whole pregnancy is also positive.

The rupture bleeding can be very weak and if you have set off the pill, you will have your period only once the ovulation has re-used. That can take a few months.

I fully understand your situation! I had a similar situation. Also taken pill, but often only later, and the more I think about it, the more crazy I do. I’ve been constantly researching since. I’ve done four tests by now. Because I looked at one of the 4 tests about 2 weeks later and was able to see an evaporator line there, I did a test for weeks later and now again. The last two were digital tests and both negative. Nevertheless, every time I see my vaulted belly, I feel like I’m pregnant. Have now also put off the pill because I hope that I will learn more about my body and soon finally get rid of these thoughts, despite being pregnant with 4 negative tests. You’re not the only one with such fears. I wish you all the best.
