Moin,
that is a wound that should be sewn. On the one hand, the wound grows, on the other hand it reaches into the undercut tissue. In addition, there is always a lot of tension and movement in the area of the hand.
The problem is the time that has passed so far. At the latest 6 hours after injury, wounds should be primarily closed by a skin seam, i.e. without further surgical measures. If this time has passed, you have to consider what you do.
In uncritical body regions such as arms or legs, an association would be created and a so-called secondary wound healing would be sought. The hand, however, is very important for everyday life. The other possibility that I recommend in the case of hand injuries is that the wound is refreshed, i.e. slightly scraped out with a sharp spoon, and the wound edges are cut out somewhat with a scalpel by the surgeon. The whole thing, of course, in local anesthesia, so you don’t notice anything. Then the wound can be closed again with a skin seam.
The pediatrician doesn’t do anything like that. I wouldn’t wait until tomorrow, but I’d recommend you pick up a surgical ambulance or emergency. You can also find out your vaccination pass and check the last time you were vaccinated against Tetanus if you don’t know it from your head. If the last tetanus vaccination is more than 10 years ago, you also need to get a tetanus refreshment vaccination.
Any questions answered or is there anything else open? If so, ask again.
Love greeting
Sit in the waiting room, thanks for your trouble
Then report or show the result.
Hello then should have gone to the emergency service, let it get drunk and then leave it open when possible
You don’t leave such wounds open and you don’t just let alcohol run over wounds. We are here in civilization, there are more appropriate means.
he should have gone straight to the doctor, schnapps disinfects the wound, is an old house remedy and sometimes better than today, as long as he doesn’t work, it heals openly better, had a cut wound at the thumb ball, even a patch on it, it didn’t heal, only when I turned off the pavement, the wound in the time raid has never even grown, honestly said so
I think as a surgeon I have the one or the other good idea. In my post above, I described what measures can be taken in these cases.
Do with you what you want, but nevertheless I realize that is not what you should do if you want to safely avoid an infection and treat a wound correctly.
You have no idea, now it can no longer be sewn, schnapps is an old remedy for all inflammations and swellings, with me it has always helped
Well… In schnapps, not only is there alcohol, it’s going to happen. Rinsing wounds with alcohol is also less recommended because it hurts like the devil. There are specially developed wound disinfectants such as Octenidine, which are used and sold in any drugstore. Especially since the disinfecting effect is only from a proportion by volume of approx. 60% uses what most schnapps does not reach at all.
Home remedy, drinks have not lost anything in wounds. We can talk about being in the middle of the jungle and having nothing else. As far as wound healing is concerned, secondary wound healing takes place mainly under scar formation. It’s not a good thing at hand. In addition, the hand is constantly in motion and the skin is also disturbing the wound healing.
As I said, such wounds on the hand should be sewn. No home remedy, not “the cures in the air”, but ideally a skin seam with a fine thread, thread pull after 2 weeks and good.
It’s very deep.
I’d have to go to the doctor. that can be the one that sew with 1-2 stitches, or the glue is enough.
today to the hospital or tomorrow to the home doctor?
I’d like to go by with this. Doesn’t look beautiful?
On the hand it is always bad to stick, because a lot of movement and tension is on the skin. If, then it must be sewn.
I’m not a doctor, but it looks like it had to be sewn right away. Now it’s too late.
I would squeeze the place and stick it with plaster so that it can no longer go apart.
I’d like to have an etching look on it today… Good improvement 💐
Not-take-up does not go to the stand-by doctor today
