Pain in the ankle when stepping and moving the foot?
I twisted my ankle today, missed a step, and stepped on nothing and twisted my ankle forward.
Of course, it hurt quite a bit at first, but afterward I was still able to stand on it and even went shopping. It was almost as if everything was fine.
Now, a few hours later, I can no longer stand on my foot at all. As soon as I put my weight on it, my ankle hurts. Unfortunately, it also hurts when I move my forefoot to the left or right.
But my foot is neither swollen nor blue.
I put Voltaren ointment on it, a light bandage, and elevated my foot. I also cooled it a bit…is there anything else I can do?
What do you think it could be?
Unfortunately, my doctor is on vacation, so I'll have to figure out who's covering for her tomorrow. But I hope I don't have to go to the doctor at all…
Sounds VERY after a compression/overextension. I was lucky this year even after our still very wild dog had knocked me around – could still walk home, but later it could not occur.
I made it like you, with cool and bandage and ointment. And day by day tries to easily load the foot, because too long is not good – but really careful.
After a few days it became better and better.
And no I was not to the doctor, the treatment at home was sufficient
This is also my plan, flying on Saturday and hoping it will be better by then!
I’ll push the thumbs, in any case, go on as much as before and just don’t load too doll at once, slowly try again.
I just did it so that I put my foot on the floor in a normal position, as good as it is. And then weighed a little bit more.
After 3 days, I had the appearance again, but it was still in pain.
As I said, right after the bending, I could go home a good 1.5 km – in the evening I had to rob from the sofa to the toilet because I could no longer appear.
The fact that you can still walk shows that stop nix is broken or torn but is just overstretched. And my mother was in the pharmacy and got dressage, the pharmacist said the treatment had arranged a doctor exactly so, so I didn’t have to go first;)
