Pain at the injection site 3 weeks after dental treatment?

Hello,

I had a root canal resection (WSR) three weeks ago and I still have pain where the injection went in when opening my jaw. Unfortunately, I still can't open it completely.

The dentist was also at a loss and told me to wait another week.

Do you have any idea what this could be? She gave me another antibiotic just in case, but that would be the third dose in two months, which is a bit much…

It could be that the tooth nerve still reacts sensitively. The reason for this is the anesthesia near the nerve, tissue damage by holding the cheek with a hook or delayed wound healing.

This is the case in some patients. That should be normal again. Good improvement
