In fact, I’d be ringers or Species natrix because the sheds seem unkilled. Should the recording have arisen in Germany, then only Schling- or Äskulapnatter are considered, but I do not dare to determine which of the two.

Because of the olive/brown coloring of the skin, I would tap an eesculapnatter. This species occurs especially in the Odenwald region. So if you found the skin in the area, my assumption would be largely confirmed.

You can’t say that 100%. Zich species are suitable for the skin, although only a handful in Germany. But what one can say is that this is a harmless Natter!
