Save on driving license?
I would be interested to know if you have to get a German driving license if you emigrate to Germany or if the one you get is valid in Austria.
And if it is valid indefinitely, wouldn't it be wise for a German to simply get a driver's license in Austria, which is cheaper (AT 1200 – 1900, DE 2000 – 3500)
If you have a foreign driver’s license, you can continue using it – if it is issued in another EU country.
In other cases, he must be rewritten. Depending on the country of employment, this goes completely without examination, with theoretical or practical examination.
In order to make the FS in another EU country, it is necessary to live there at least 185 days. Then you can do that and you can also do it. Save money.
the 185 days deadline does not apply to make the FS, but to get it recognised when returning to the home country!!
According to Articles 7 and 12 of the EU driving licence directive, the 185 days are already valid on issue.
