Sandisk Private Access not working and USB stick is write protected?

Hello,
I have a problem with my Sandisk USB stick. I used Private Access, but then reset it, and recently the entire stick has been write-protected. All the instructions online are useless; every attempt produces an error message stating that formatting (as a workaround) is not possible due to the write protection. I can't move, delete, or add files to the USB stick, only copy them down. Does anyone know how I can format the stick or remove the write protection?

Clearly, formatting is not possible – you have to delete the partitions and create them again.

If this does not go, the SAN disk software should prevent it => uninstall.

Think about partitions you mean the files of private access on the stick.

Oh, no.
“Partition” is a fixed term – just like “volume” (also called “drive”) or “data carrier”.
A volume can also extend over several partitions and thus over several disks.
Conversely, a disk can contain several partitions.

Open the disk management on Windows – you can see how it divides.

Standard under Windows would be “A Partition = A Volume”.

What do you mean with the Sandisk software?

As long as the stick has no hardware encryption, a software is needed to access protected files.
This would also prevent, for example, formatting a volume/drive on the stick.
Windows itself does not prevent this.
