Salary for entry-level IT specialists in application development?

Hello, I recently completed my apprenticeship and now want to get off my apprenticeship salary. However, I'm not happy with the new salary in my employment contract, which amounts to just €2,600 gross for a full-time position. My boss claims that's normal for someone just starting out.

The company focuses on desktop development and is located near Erfurt. I customize software to meet customer requirements and develop everything myself, from the program logic to the user interface.

The company was also my training location, and I'm reluctant to leave the team. Even during my training, I only earned about €600 net per month. 🙁

Most people I told about it were shocked and said I should be earning significantly more. A former classmate of mine now earns around €3,000 gross as an entry-level employee in the same profession.

What is the normal salary after training?

I've gotten too. But it's been a while. I don't know what's normal today, but it won't be that much more. It was the Munich region at that time. You're from Erfurt. There's a lot lower grade than here. So it doesn't seem so unrealistic.

Don't let yourself go!

You live in Erfurt? Then maybe this is your new employer!

Yeah, I know, actually, you deserve less in public service than in industry. But still more than your boss offers you. And working in a data center offers a lot of opportunities for further education! And the working atmosphere is cool! (I don't have to call names, but the colleagues from Thuringia were always great!)

Write your own application!

Good luck!
