I wanted to know what the maximum engine temperature of a Simson s51 is. And is it safe to ride at 35°C outside? When I put some water on the manifold and the cylinder block, it evaporated immediately. However, the end of my exhaust is quite hot, so you can't touch it anymore, but it's not over 100 degrees.

Even the current temperatures are not a problem for the motor as long as the moped drives, in urban traffic with a lot of traffic jams or long waiting times at traffic lights and rail crossings make the motor out of the engine then there are no problems.

The operating temperature of a 2 clock internal combustion engine is 85 degrees Celsius also that of a four diesel engine. And the S51 is like the Kalashnikov,,,,, indestructible, i.e. even at hot temperatures, still fully capable of performance
