Ryanair, hand luggage 3-4 cm too big, problems? What is allowed in the jacket pocket?
Hi, I have 2 questions. I will be flying to London for 5 days next month. I have booked the tickets through Ryanair. Since I'm staying with friends anyway, I'm only taking one piece of hand luggage with me, now my question, I have a Rolly which has the following dimensions: 59 x 37 x 19 cm. According to Ryanair, only suitcases with the following dimensions are allowed as hand luggage 55 x 40 x 20 cm
Because of the wheels on the rolly, the suitcase is about 59 cm tall, I measured it very generously, it can also be 1-2 cm smaller. Can the few cm cause problems? I don't want to pay extra unnecessarily. does anyone have experience with this, as the other dimensions are smaller….
what happens if my hand luggage is 100-200 grams heavier, is there any tolerance?
the next question: what is allowed in the jacket? Cell phone, digicam, wallet?
are the 3 items allowed in the jacket pocket, I have never used Ryanair and they are supposed to be very special, hence my "ridiculous" questions.
I hope for your support
Greetings
even only 1 cm too much can cause great problems and it is then extremely expensive demand for money. Once it doesn’t fit into the template, you have a problem. It is not so intensely looked at every flight. So it can happen that you’re going through the flight, but you have to pay in return. Clearly, a wallet and cell phone can be put in a jacket. The Digicam only if it fits into the jacket pocket.
The few cm make problems. Excesses are payable. Overweight too. Ryanair takes place. HAndy, digicam and purse may of course be placed in the JAckentasche.
Hello, I fly very often with Ryanair and it’s always such a lucky thing. Sometimes you have to pack the hand baggage in a stand provided for this test if it is not fit in it is expensive. However, you can put that thing in the right place – main thing it is in. It is therefore sensible not to take a hard case.
I have also experienced that up to 500 g of luggage are not a problem. I don’t think about a kilo or that’s the problem.
The jacket’s a good idea, I’m doing it all the time. Mobile phone, camera, even chargers, anything that has somehow too much weight I put into my jacket pocket. Often I take extra a jacket with big bags. They have never been controlled and will certainly not be controlled.
If I now take a sports bag with the dimensions 45x30x30 cm, the depth is about 10 cm too long, but I can do what is common with sports bags that press pockets,
Since I am not going to complete them, will they let it go through?
ryan Air is happy to practice anyone who is only 1 gramm heavier and has 2 cm larger luggage, because with it they compensate for their favorable flight prices. If your suitcase doesn’t fit into the designated “stencil”, he’s not a hand luggage and you need to check in your suitcase. There’s hardly any cunning. it doesn’t matter to stuff the bags full, but these devices are okay. I was just afraid they were falling out of the jacket pocket–
naja 1 g certainly not because the scales are not so accurate;-) but are safe at the latest from 500 g…
if your case is too big, it’s too big…
a jacket is not a bag 🙂
but what fits into the jack bag must be safe with on board….
to the extent that these are not prohibited objects….
