Running after patellar luxation?

Hello,

Two days ago, I suffered a patellar luxation (my first). I went to the doctor, had an x-ray, and was given a 0-degree splint.

Since I already had crutches with me, which I used to get to the hospital, I'm not sure to what extent I need them now, as I wasn't given any specific ones. One doctor gave a rather ambiguous answer to my brief inquiry, saying that it would be realigned and that nothing much would happen with the splint, and that I'd notice when it got too much because of the pain—so it wasn't a direct yes/no answer.

At the moment, I'm only walking (or hobbling) around the apartment with the brace, since even short trips like the bathroom or the kitchen would be so awkward with crutches. And, most importantly, I don't feel any pain when I put any weight on them. So, I don't overdo it with walking and I do keep my leg elevated most of the time, but is it somehow bad that I'm putting weight on my knee without crutches?

I have to go to the doctor for an MRI in a few days anyway, so I'll ask again but thought maybe someone here can help me 🙂

Probably nix will happen if you’re full of stress. In the end, the MRI will show how to proceed. Besides, a 10° diffraction would have been better.
