What is a ruler with a cutting edge
Hey guys, I'm studying communication design and my classes start next week. My professor sent us an email with the materials we'll need, including a steel ruler with a cutting edge (very important!)
But guys… what kind of linal is that??😠I searched the internet for ages but couldn't find a real answer.

A cutting edge is a slightly higher “side” on the ruler, where you can put a cutter in such a way that the blade is in a beautiful, exact 90° angle and does not slip.
In a simple search for “Lineal with cutting edge” I immediately get numerous hits with concrete products including pictures and explanations, which is a ruler.
The cutting edge serves to apply a knife exactly and guide the cut smoothly without scratching the ruler.
