Relapse, nicotine, what to do?

Hey, I used nicotine from 15 to 17 and a half years old, then quit immediately. It went really well, with a few relapses, but I haven't had any desire for it for a year now. But today I had a strong craving for nicotine, so I bought some snus. I haven't used any yet, but I already feel bad… What can I do about this feeling, and why do I have this urge for nicotine even though I've been "clean" for about a year and a half?

By the way, happy Easter 🙂
Greetings

throw it away when you stay with you, you’ll take it safe.

and unfortunately you will never be 100% clean if you were dependent on what, so you will always have to ask for it and have to learn to deal with it. You can talk to friends or family about it, or also claim professional help. Not for withdrawal, but so that you get good tips to deal with it afterwards and not get back

This can be done with being stressed right now or going through a heavy stage of life. But I have no experience with it. In any case, I wish you a lot of success and hope you remain clean:)

Then you can only listen again, more doesn’t help. You’ll probably get back to the beginning, but if you give up, you’ll be guilty.

Unfortunately, you always remain addicted. I’ve had a long time after I left.

After your comments, you have become taboo-dependent by smoking.

Your question associated you would have been dependent on nicotine. This is practically impossible. There is no nicotine addiction.

It was thought that it was earlier, but it was revised many years ago. It is a tobacco dependence. The background is simple and quickly explained. The tobacco groups manipulate the properties of nicotine in tobacco, by admixing additives. This results in a massive change in the properties of nicotine.

Aside from tobacco consumption, nicotine does not lead to dependencies. Whether nicotine sprays, nicotine gums, nicotine plasters, tomatoes, potatoes or eggplants, all products with nicotine, consumption does not lead to dependencies. The same applies to e-cigarettes.

The big problem, tobacco dependence can take extreme proportions and also years later it can lead to symptoms of withdrawal symptoms.

In the case of tobacco dependence, the body demands nicotine, although in natural form it does not actually depend.

As I read, you’ve already had a number of relapses. This is also normal. Millions of other smokers share the same fate.

What now?

If you consume tobacco again, almost no matter what form, then everything starts from the front.

You should decide how to continue in the future.

One way would be to consume nicotine without tobacco. Alternatives: nicotine sprays or e-cigarettes, with nicotine in liquid. If the nicotine concentration, or nicotine quantity, fits, you could vaporize without withdrawal symptoms.

Then what happens…?

If you no longer consume tobacco, your tobacco dependence would gradually reduce, although you continue to consume nicotine.

Compared to cigarettes, e-cigarettes are harmless. This is scientific consensus. In the liquid there are only 3 officially classified ingredients. Since no combustion process exists in e-cigarettes, no toxic substances can be produced.

These are your options, continue as before or a cut and a new beginning.
