You mean turn a router as a bridge? Some routers do.

There is then somewhere to switch the router as a WLAN bridge or as an AccessPoint.

Some can also both at the same time. In some Fritzboxes, I have already used the Access Point mode.

For example, I use a bridge between an AP from Netgear and a router from Vodafone as a bridge. At the other end (Net Gear) I have a switch that connects up to 16 devices via this bridge to the Internet.

Works perfectly for years. It only has to be restarted from time to time because the router spins. But I know that from Fritz Boxen.

Nothing else, by the way, makes a WLAN repeater. In one direction, it functions as a bridge and is also AP for other devices.

I’ve been using a Fritzbox Wi-Fi USB stick for a while and have a super fast and good connection. So you also need a telephone connection for the old router when it works via DSL to operate it. You’ll probably get your own subscription to the Internet provider for the router. So I would just buy a Wlan USB Stick in your case for 20 e and that should be enough

If the old router in the Wi-Fi area is Fähig, it does not need an Internet connection on this page. The modem is then disabled.

Just put a Lan cable in your PC and the other end in your Fritzbox. 😅😅

Yeah, I don’t know what he’s doing with the second router.

As you write is actually the most sensible thing.

It’s unnecessary. The Fritzbox has internet. Why a second router? 😅

That’s why land cables and no wlan. Otherwise simply get a Wlan stick, but it is not suitable for shocking. 😅
