Rust on the scooter?
Should I be concerned that there's rust on my scooter? Here, on the spring and then on the exhaust. And what's the best way to get rid of it?

I bought the bike last year (2014, now about 9000km) and my problem is that when it's cold and I ride for a bit and then stop (when I pull in the clutch), it always dies and is very difficult to start again. Once the Duke is warm, everything works perfectly, but it can't be…
Hallo, ich möchte einen GTI kaufen (gebraucht und weiß) und ihn dann so ähnlich wie auf dem Bild folieren lassen. Was schätzt ihr was das ungefähr kosten könnte? Und wie lange hält sowas? Danke für eure Einschätzungen.
For example, if you're in fourth gear and a roundabout appears in the distance, should you shift gradually to second or go straight from fourth to second?
How much does an oil change cost? I need to change the oil in my BMW F30 soon and would like to know approximately how much it would cost me. NOT at BMW.
Hello, What would be a reasonable price for an approximately 18-year-old VW Polo? 45 hp. Approximately 100,000 km on the clock. A very slight dent on the passenger side while parking; otherwise, accident-free, in decent condition. MOT due again in 6-9 months. Can I expect to pay €1,000-1,200 for it? I checked comparison sites; some…
muss ich etwas an der ural ändern, wenn ich den Beiwagen abschraube? (Übersetzung z.b)
So I don’t know what the others are doing here for a panic. I can tell you, don’t worry. The spring is full steel, which means even if a layer of metal is rusted away from the outside, there is more than enough material to hold the roller. Rost is here planned by the manufacturer. Only a thin grate layer can be seen at the exhaust and as long as no holes are created there is no problem. Some cars look worse from below and drive easily. Unfortunately, you will not get it away, as a glare would have too high a material removal to the volge and thus the “burst” would rather speed up. In the exhaust, the grate usually comes from the aggressive exhaust gases in the inner, which would make every grease end at the exit point after 2 weeks. So my tip: Don’t worry, this grate is completely normal and planned. LG
There is no TÜV for 50ccm vehicles yet – but if there was something like that, this scooter would no longer come through. I realize that you can drive “somehow still” – but there can be no talk about “no worry” and “problemless” here.
Normal wear. Every 2-3 years this is so.
You can’t get that away – that’s blown. Maximum replacement of the affected parts.
is this grate bad?
Not really, feathers rust almost always and material is more than enough available for this, when exhausting it comes primarily to which it is dense or has no holes.
The parts are over and will break in foreseeable time.
Could be. In my opinion, this was largely the last 36 of my active participation in public transport in Germany and abroad. When is it with you rusted?
At the loose hose clamp I also notice a slightly narrowed piece of garden hose at the elbow… ?
I repeat, that’s not how this thing would go through the TÜV.
Under certain circumstances do we have a different conception of the word “costed”? But what should definitely be treated immediately is the loose hose clamp that I just noticed on the second picture.
I don’t worry about the feather – but about anchoring the feather leg. At the exhaust, the elbow (which is an integral part of the exhaust, as with most 50ccm vehicles) is rusted and will break in foreseeable time (which will no longer ask for holes).
Oh, that’s still top right
