Rosen für mehrere Stunden frisch halten?
Also voraussichtlich im Sommer (Juli/August), werde ich mit dem Zug nach Österreich fahren (Wien), um dort für ein paar Wochen jemanden zu besuchen. Ich selber wohne in Ostdeutschland, also doch ziemlich nahe. Ich möchte ihm Rosen mitbringen. Ich hatte mir also überlegt vorher am Bahnhof in einem Laden ein paar zu kaufen. Nun bin ich ungefähr 8 Stunden unterwegs (mit Zwischenstationen). Ist zwar nicht so viel, aber die Rosen sehen ja schnell vertrocknet aus, wenn sie die ganze Zeit ohne Wasser transportiert werden. Da es ja dann sicher auch sehr warm in dem Zug sein wird (sind ja gerade die “Hauptmonate” des Sommers). Nun kann/will ich aber nicht noch extra eine Vase mit Wasser mitschleppen, zumal das mit Koffern in der Hand schwer werden würde. Habt ihr Ideen, wie ich sie die ganze Fahrt über frisch halten könnte? 🙂

Wet handkerchiefs or toilet paper wrap around the handles and vlt. ne plastic bag. If you don’t need it directly on arrival, there are also roses in Österrreich am Bhf. ;P
Why don’t you buy them in Vienna? Are you coming so late that no flower shop is open? If that’s the case, I’d choose another carrier because that’s a long way. Wet newspaper paper wrap or wet cloth and keep wet on the train (without warranty). By the way, I am from Vienna and we really have to buy roses here.
I just think you could take a little rose stick. I mean there are small toas in a small pot that are in earth need not be kept permanently wet. Keep much longer and if there is terrace you can also repot them. I have already received as a guest present and the transport is not more complicated than with cut flowers.
We would be if you could buy the flowers on arrival in Vienna and then hand them over freshly?
Of course I thought about it too, but I’ve never been there and you can’t say that there are flower shops, especially since it could be that I’m only here at night:-) I don’t want to wander around and search and let him wait forever, because he wants to pick me up from the station and I want to hand it over to him immediately 🙂
Buy them in Austria at the station.
