Scooter suddenly slows down and stops?
Hello, when I ride my 2-stroke scooter it goes very fast for a while (up to 50 km/h) but then you notice that it slowly slows down and then at some point just rolls. This goes on for about 5-10 seconds during which time it doesn't respond to the accelerator. After that it carries on driving normally as if nothing has happened. I haven't ridden it for about 4 weeks but it was like this before too. In the last 4 weeks the carburetor was cleaned inside once. I've just ridden it again for the first time and on the 1.7km route it only happened once in total.
Rollers often have pressure-controlled gasoline valves.
The gasoline cock is therefore not opened “by hand”, but rather via a hose which exerts vacuum from the suction tract onto a membrane in the gasoline cock and thereby opens it.
If this membrane is leaky or hardened, the gasoline cock – at least at times – does not open or not wide enough.
You can check the function of the gasoline valve by easily sucking the hose leading to the gasifier’s float chamber into a vessel and on the other hose leading to the gasoline valve membrane.
If only a little gasoline or non-uniform, the petrol cock is defective and must be replaced.
Hello,
I had something like that a few years ago.
With me, the gasoline line was blocked, so that too little or no more gasoline has passed through.

I would have said from the feeling that gasoline cock does not let enough gas through and the carburetor is short enough to continue to drive full gas. Unfortunately, I can’t say more with current information status.
I hope I could help you
