The scooter rarely starts using the switch button, the battery is always full and it always starts using the relay (press it together)?
Hello,
I bought a new scooter. It's 14 years old. As I wrote above, I'm looking for a solution, please. I've already installed a new relay, but it still won't start. The battery is always full because if you press the relay together, it starts.
Remove the start button? Is the cable broken somewhere (and why does it sometimes start with the start button)?

Bridge the start contact: If the scooter then jumps off without any problems, the button has a contact problem… surely the contact also only needs a cleaning with a glass fiber pin (to disassemble) or try to get in from the outside contact spray!
Sounds like the start button has a wobble contact. Screw the panel of your scooter, find the cable that comes from the start button, pull the plug off and measure with an ohmmeter when the button is pressed. Should be zero ohm (short-circuit).
If OL or a very large resistance is displayed, the start button does not lock correctly.
However, if you are technically a little versed, you can expand it relatively easily and then exchange it or even repair it. The function is self-explanatory if you have basic knowledge of electrics.
In mine, only the feather that blew out the contact. Had this a little twisted together so that the contact with the switching pin was back permanently there, finished.
Then a raccoon is starting from the start button. So exchange or look where the mistake is
The button has no screws, it can break when pulling out
Then apparently the relay does not attract properly.
What voltage is on the coil when you press the start button?
I don’t have a multimeter. I already bought a new relay. I don’t think of the relay
Put a direct voltage from the battery to the coil.
