Scooter making noises (clutch)?

Hello,

My scooter has the following problem: When I accelerate up to full power, a very rough and scratchy noise comes from the clutch. It also immediately cuts out and performs a sort of emergency braking, even though I'm not applying the brakes. However, after it stops, it immediately starts again, and I can continue riding. Another problem is my clutch bell housing, which starts to "whistle" when I let my scooter coast to a stop, but as soon as I accelerate again, it immediately goes away.

-Tecnigas Q-tre (unthrottled)

-From 56 HD to 72

-New oil pump

-Recently changed transmission oil

Then you should take a closer look at the Variomatic .

A ball bearing could possibly have been disassembled there.

Otherwise, the centrifugal force converter could also have a defect in the output.

I have not looked at the individual parts of your scooter model precisely now, but with many automatic scooters of simpler (more cost-effective) design, the centrifugal clutch looks like a drum brake reversed in functionality with two radial spreader jaws, spiral springs for holding the spreader jaws, glued friction linings and an outer friction bell.

In this simple type of coupling, the inner part rotates freely with the brake jaws within the clutch bell until the pretensioning force of the cohesion springs is exceeded by the rotational force, and the brake jaws with their friction linings lie on the driver bell from the inside.

The outer catch bell is similar to a pan and is fixedly connected to the gear input shaft.

The part shown in the image sits firmly on the output shaft of the belt drive and spreads from a specific shaft speed.

At the wear limit of the part in the link, one of the tension springs breaks down, or the friction linings detach from the jaws.
