Scooter question CDI?
I have a question. I asked a question a few days ago because my 45 km/h scooter used to go 49 km/h, but now it's going 54 km/h, which is way too fast for me. I don't want to lose my Class B driving license. Now I'm wondering what I can do. I've tried out a 25 km/h CDI and a 45 km/h CDI. We are the second owners, and my brother said that the previous owner must have cut a cable (he remembered it today), which you normally just pull to remove the throttle. The previous owner cut it, however. How can I throttle my scooter now? Is this cable available to buy, or can I use a spacer ring? Unfortunately, I know nothing about this field. I only want to use the scooter to get to the gym and save fuel.
Scooter: Motowell RS 2T
Can throttle variomatics with a small spacer ring. Search for Youtube “Dethrottle Variomatik”. Then you just take the steps backward:) Costs 3€ vlt and goes quite fast.
Hey, first of all thanks for the quick answer. The question now arises for me whether the roller can be further throttled by the installation of a spacer ring despite which it runs with CDI. Thank you in advance.
Jupp, that’s it.
How much mm would that be good? Current 54 km/h
What does that look like when I have the throttle installation I have to do something on the carburetor?
There is no less than 2mm
Which one should I get?
No, you’re too slow.
Thank you. read online, 1 mm about 5 km/h so I should get a 2 mm distance ring
If you’re allowed to drive 45 Km/h, it’ll be okay for 2 to 3 Km/h. You don’t get that in any case. Depends on how or by whom is measured.
