Scooter goes faster than stated?

According to the speedometer, the scooter is doing around 70 km/h. The operating license states 49cc and 49 km/h. It's from the 90s. Is it okay with the AM license? And if not, what can I do?

Your scooter is clearly too fast and that would also be if you were to determine the speed via GPS.

Since we don’t know what scooter it is, you should drive to the workshop and let it throttle there – it would be possible to replace the CDI, install a spacer disc or a gas slide stop.

The specified 49 km/h are compliant. From 1986 to the European standardization, the maximum permissible speed of 50 km/h was applied to small motorcycles and scooters. However, if the vehicle actually reaches 70 km/h, something has to be changed technically. This means that the vehicle would not be legally movable. 70 no longer speaks for the usual advance of the tacho. You can also see if you’re on the road in the city with full gas.

is good, you don’t always have to exhaust.
