Scooter indicator faulty?

Hi, so here's the problem.

When the ignition is on and the engine is not running, it stays lit. Once the scooter is on, it sometimes flashes when I activate the indicator, sometimes it stays lit, and sometimes it doesn't light up at all.

Is this the battery? Or what could it be?

Best regards

The battery flashes.

Moin,

the error can be located in the complete region of the blinker circuit. From a wobble contact of a plus cable, to a ground fault to a relay error, everything is possible. In fact, you have to get armed with a tool and a measuring instrument for troubleshooting.

The switch will be defective. Cables can be broken and affect each other.

Only because a switch can be operated manually, it does not necessarily have to function electrically.

Why is something going on?

Because you hardly have your own statements about the problem and their elimination. The alternative would not be to communicate at all.

Then the mistake can be found. A flasher only illuminates when the relay is activated via the switch. This means that the error can only be searched in the cable salad to the switch and from the switch to the relay. In the case of continuous light, current must then reach the cable after the relay. There are not so many mistakes at once.

That’s all after a call from professional incompetence. Even the smallest aid needs to be implemented. It’s not going to happen without a bit of preliminary education. Often owed by money.

You changed the battery. Only 2 cables had to be clamped off and off. If the flashers worked before, they’ll go after that. If you’ve additionally made cables and connected them incorrectly, then no one can help you. Often there is a mass problem. Since no one knows your vehicle, you’re damned to speculate.

I think if I serve the switch and the light “lights” and sometimes flashes it is not.

The other user is/was KFZ expert and I also don’t have much less screwdriver experience. We can at least assess what could be defective. If you mean that the switch is fully functional, although you probably haven’t tested it in terms of measurement, you can’t safely exclude this element in the circuit.

But if you’re sure and you’re talking about two relatively experienced screwdrivers, you’ll have to be very sure. So you will certainly be able to find the mistake yourself.

By the way, we have only exchanged, not climbed (in whatever).

Users who ask for something here are sometimes so interested in troubleshooting that screwing around, questions and answers directly. This creates a dialogue directly during repair.

Well, there is often a question that is asked by unconsciousness, the hope that the problem solving could be something quite simple, what even a layman gets. Maybe the hope was to pull out a flash relay and put it back. To reset or something.

I simply find those FS that want to know better despite ignorance.
Often it is a pity that you cannot give any help on the basis of missing technical information.

I didn’t answer him. It’s meaningless with this unconsciousness.
