Roccat Torch Streaming Microphone Bad Sound?

I've been using a Roccat Torch streaming microphone for about a year and a half. It sounded pretty good at first, but it seems the sound has been getting worse and worse.

The microphone recently broke on its mount, and since I had the same one, new and in its original packaging, I plugged it in. Then, during a round of Fortnite, a friend asked me if I had a new microphone, even though I was still using the same one.

Why has the sound gotten so much worse and how can I prevent this with the new one?

Is there any way to clean it? If so, how?
