Rieju mrt 50 speedometer jumps and does not show the correct speed?

Could someone please help me? I'm having major problems with the speedometer. It keeps jumping to, for example, 41, 54, 45, and shows the completely wrong speed. What can I do?

The speedometer cable has a kink somewhere, is not properly greased, is not tightened enough or is simply defective.
