Riding on the field or across the country?

Hello. I gave riding lessons to a neighbor on my horse for a year. She's only been riding for two years now.

Last year, she bought her own horse, and on one of the pages, she listed Horses in Need. I then gave her riding lessons again. The horse reared and bucked. We were able to correct this within six weeks. Then, because of my final year of training, I couldn't give her any more riding lessons.

Now I offered to give her riding lessons again, only now she told me.

She doesn't want to ride in the riding arena because her horse doesn't like it.

She said she could no longer ride her horse properly in the riding arena and had almost reverted to her old character.

She has no problem riding cross-country and can ride there (all gaits) without any problems. I wonder if I can teach her cross-country. She prefers riding bareback, though. I wonder if I can teach her with a saddle pad.

I said I'd only do this on the arena because it's too dangerous for me otherwise. But I figured if it doesn't work on the arena and then a dangerous situation arises in the countryside, how could it possibly work?
If she can't even ride the horse in the arena without problems, I'd like to hear another opinion on this. What would you do?

Sorry, but if I’ve read all this… jmd, who just rides 2 J. and thus hasn’t had enough experience yet, buys himself – because certainly cheap… – a separate horse without savvy coach on the hand and then also a “problem horse”. No reasonable equipment, AKU probably wasn’t done either. But what is it – up on the Zossen, who cares if he is healthy at all and what level of training he has…

The horse has certainly not fallen back into “his old character” – it has probably only bad experiences in the baggage and I doubt that it has ever been muscular and reasonably built up so far by the psyche. It’s probably gonna get out on the grounds, the rest of it’s stressing.

Healthy construction sites, professional on the horse and then the hfftl .

When reading, I have also always considered how it was handled in terms of insurance and tax. “So a little self-employment” is a huge drought business. And then another animal, where one has much higher chances of liability cases and own injuries than another.

that will probably move in the frame of the dueness rule.

the rider himself is liable, except it can be assumed of gross negligence on the part of the informant.

the horse does not have it from horses in need.

they are serious and look to whom the animals are delivered,

I wouldn’t give her any lessons under the circumstances, because I don’t support animal torture, not because that would be too dangerous to me.

naja – and she betrayed the gaul she was buying. ripe power (ironie off). can correct it on its own or it adheres to the rules.

it is not the horse that does not like to go to the place, but the rider. she thinks she’s okay, and that’s what she thinks she’s going past the ass.

give your well-known the rules for correct teaching and tell her that you do not deviate from it. if she doesn’t want to stick to it, then don’t stop and she has to see how she gets clear. tell her that the decision taken is final and that there is no second possibility to choose.

It’s good for you to meet her so far that you let her ride on your horse!

Honestly?

I’d even have this on the square – if there was no hall, then only with Longe…

It is also – and above all – a technical matter of insurance that can come to be expensive in serious cases!

Grades in the terrain must be a horse “crisis-resistant” and reliable – which has to be worked out before (and above all) in the square…

Furthermore, I find it irresponsible – to say the least – to go to the ground without saddle!

I would advise her to take professional help in your place – both horse, and rider belong in the hands of trainers who do this daily and know what they are getting into…

Please do not misunderstand – I don’t want to deny you your skills (on the contrary)…

Just don’t want you to be stupid at the end!

Happy – also for the other “party” and their horse…;)

The horse has risen and jacked

Horses usually do not accidentally land on such emergency sites. Who’s getting one. It’s even more stupid who gets one and doesn’t know each other. And most stupid, whoever gets there, doesn’t know and doesn’t even get professional help.

Within 6 weeks we were able to correct this.

I doubt it.

because your horse doesn’t like it

Nice excuse for “I’m afraid of my horse, but don’t want to invest money to change that”

She told her she couldn’t ride her horse properly on the riding ground and almost returned to her old character.

It was foreseeable that “in 6 weeks corrected” was bullshit.

She has no problem

Don’t be surprised. You just have to stay up there and run halfway in the direction that leads the way. A horse can do that all by itself.

What would you do?

Veterinary, Dentist, Osteopath and Sattler. Yes, all 4 or 3 if the veterinarian also makes teeth.

And if they were all there and the horse shouldn’t be better in the sausage again, you’re looking for a reasonable trainer or giving the horse a better ride for 3 months while on another well-trained horse you take reasonable lessons.

The thing is too big for both of you.

After two years the riding experience is not sufficient for a separate horse. It’s nice that you teach her, but then you should tell her that without a saddle ride is neither good for her nor for the horse. In addition, as a riding teacher, I would have immediately got to Osteo/Physio when the horse rises and buckles. There’s pain in the game.

You’re the RL, you tell her what lessons you do. terrain cannot work if riding hall/place does not work. She’s been lucky so far that nothing happened.

Wearing the last-named shoe is at an altitude which is never brought in over a few riding hours. Imagine a horse, left in the grounds, already tensed in the place when entering. It comes to the accident. Rider says, “I never wanted to ride in the square, I knew that would happen.” Yes, a good business insurance also takes care of defending claims, but I’m afraid…

That there is no insurance to defend the claims!

Certainly no written agreements and teaching concepts, lots of fun in case of damage in court!

Yes. You could be theoretically liable as a person – but what is to be brought by a person? A few million certainly not. Private liability is definitely not for a black job, the cover sums are often not so high there.

The worst thing is, in real damage, the victim, which is not supplied decently.

It is a difference whether you have to privately manage the building of the house or if you have to admit liability.

That’s exactly what I’m afraid.

Hello, Nathi2003.

I’m on your side.

Riding lessons on the riding ground yes, but not on the grounds.

I’d be too risky.

With sweethearts, Renate.
