Rex rs450 engine failure?
Hey,
In short, I had a shitty day today and accidentally filled up my Rex with Super 95 E10. It ran fine for the first 15 minutes until I went shopping and tried to start the scooter: the scooter wouldn't start. After about 20 minutes of fiddling around with the electric starter, I finally managed to get the scooter running and then went home. After 10 minutes of driving, I pulled the hose, emptied the entire tank into a canister and topped up with Super 95 E5. After a few kicks, things got a bit sluggish (I suspect there was still a bit of E10 in the carburetor). Now after starting and stopping the scooter a few times, it ran fine again and then I was back on the road. Now the same scenario, scooter parked for a short time, when trying to start it again, same problem (electric starter was clearly audible but the engine remained silent, same nonsense with the kickstarter, after kicking it 10,000 times my nerves were at the end and the scooter had to be taken home in the van. Even more annoyed when I got home I saw by the test button that the battery was empty, electrics like indicators, horn, lights and electric starter all worked fine, but the engine still didn't start. Of course I was lucky that the scooter was actually supposed to be sold tomorrow so I can get something decent with it instead of a Chinese bomber from the deep east and then something like this. Can someone tell me whether this thing can go in the bin or whether I can get it sorted again?
thanks in advance
In case of incorrect refueling, the ADAC recommends not to start or drive further. My car is also released for E 10, but there have already been damage to cars in Sweden
The bioethanol content can already be too much.
Worse would have been diesel instead of E 10.
Pump and clean the carburetor again
I now have an electric scooter with larger battery
