Reverse gear gets stuck – what to do?

Switch: Reverse gear is engaged, a few meters are driven backwards, then the gear gets very stuck and cannot be released.
The engine is turned off. Then the gear is easily disengaged. The engine is turned back on, and everything works again.

Does this indicate damage that should be taken into account?

Coupling or transmission 🤷🏼 ♂️

Just let it be checked in the workshop, remote diagnosis is not possible.

Think that your clutch is no longer properly disengaged.

That there are still different models and motorizations at Skoda? Year of manufacture would also be interesting because either switching linkages or cable connection. Then there is a clutch actuation via clutch cable or a hydraulic actuation. And if we’re in, the mileage would be interesting to possibly. To exclude wear of the clutch.

So as the first idea, I’d tap on the switchgear, something could have loosened…of course, could be a problem with the clutch if it’s in the end, of course, it can start like this.

There is one end of the clutch most obvious.
