Returning a game to Humble Bundle?
Good day everybody,
I'm new to the gaming world and unfortunately I didn't realize that I bought an unlockable option (Main-Spessart-Bahn) and not the game.
I just bought the current standard version of the game (Train Sim World 2020) and noticed when unlocking it that my previously purchased option was already included. Therefore, the activation code doesn't work on Steam either. A message appears saying that I can already find it in my library.
I'm very embarrassed, but since it cost almost €30, I'd like to cancel the option. Is that possible? If so, how?
Another problem:
As usual, I received a discount of approximately €2.50 on my previous purchase from Humble Bundle. However, I'm not entitled to this discount if I get a refund, since I only purchased one product. I can't get the discount for a second purchase.
Where can I also report this so that in the event of a refund the correct amount is transferred back.
Codes are in principle excluded from a return. The dealer might check if you have already redeemed the code, but you still know it and could still redeem it after the refund (theoretically).
I had a similar situation with another shop, since it was actually possible to return the code, but I only got the money after the new buyer successfully redeemed the code.
Whether that’s what this provider does, I can’t tell you, but it’s not too common for all, as it already involves some extra effort for him.
Would simply look at whether there is any information about returns on the website or if not contact the support. You can also mention this with the discount, which is quite sure to see it. They will then need an order number or the like.
If everything doesn’t help, you can try to keep selling the code private. Stupid situation, but can happen to everyone.
