Retraining?
Hello, I'm 27 and a trained painter and varnisher. Due to my condition, I can't and don't want to work in this profession anymore.
Today I went to the employment office and inquired about retraining. I'd like to retrain as a media designer or visual marketing designer. Unfortunately, my clerk told me I'd have to consider something else, as this profession (allegedly) no longer has a future.
Do you have any other ideas for creative careers (that might be similar?) I've already created a list of careers here that might interest me. 😀
I would be happy to receive further suggestions and tips for possible further training or retraining

Just try to make such an education a media designer.
Without support from agency for work and job center.
What’s keeping you from it?
Education does not fit financially and for a normal training as a media designer you need Abi 😬so would be more sensible
If you need Abitur for the educational course you want, this will also be in the case of retraining or other corresponding further education.
Retraining means, in principle, only shortening time and non-reduced educational requirements.
If necessary, it can be increased with ALG 2/Citizen’s money, BAföG or BAB, and Abitur can be followed.

A shortening of the duration of training, and something else is not retraining, does not change the educational requirements.
There you are either incorrectly informed or it is about different trainings.
