Resting heart rate 50 & while running 130?
Hello;
I have a heart defect and had surgery 3-4 years ago. After that, I never had any problems with it again, until recently. I was on vacation and couldn't sleep at night because I had a stabbing pain in my chest/heart when I breathed in. Then I went to the doctor and my resting heart rate was 54, although my normal heart rate was always around 80-90. Now I have my Apple Watch on (I've always been reliable) and it shows me that when I sit or lie down, my heart rate is 50, and when I walk, it's between 110-130. I don't understand it and I'm very scared. My heart rate, in turn, drops significantly as soon as I sit down again.
It is not possible to rely fully on such wrist measuring devices because they are usually too inaccurate. Make a stress ECG on your cardiologist, then you get accurate values.
