Resin printing forms seaweed-like flakes, but only above a certain height?
SOLVED: I removed the protective film from the display, which you're supposed to put on the printer from the factory. Then it worked. I printed it together with another model. Who knows if that might have helped distribute the FEP's forces.
QUESTION: I have a problem with my Anycubic Photon Mono 2. I've printed the same model three times now, rotating and positioning it differently each time, but the print still fails at a certain height. Thin streaks appear in places that shouldn't be exposed, and holes appear in places that should be.
I suspected it was the screen protector, as it's so poorly designed that it doesn't sit properly on the sides of the display. I've removed it, but so far, no results. What surprises me most is that the supports above it, i.e., in the same place on the display, are all perfectly aligned.
Does anyone know what the problem is? It's not really the exposure time. I adjusted it and even made it longer for testing, but the same problem.
I use a printer where there is not such a film (certain that it belongs to it?), I just wanted to know whether it was or not.
My experience is that after a long time the tub leaves in its performance and then such errors can occur.
The printer is a few days old. And the new pressure is finished in a few hours. Then I’ll make a supplement. I think it could also put on the Basic Resin, because this is inconceivably poor mechanical properties. If you’ve already picked up an ABS Like+, it’ll be soon. Then never Basic Resin again.
I always buy the resin which is also certified by and for the printer. I don’t experiment. Is the Basic Resin from this printer manufacturer? If not, it could explain the problems.
It seems to have been the protective film. However, the model also put another one on the platform to distribute the forces of the FEP film more.
Never heard of such a film. What’s that supposed to do when printing? I think you’ll always have to do it.
Ah understand, there’s no transparent plate in between?
The film is made on the display so that it is not scratched and not attacked by the resin. Because if this comes to the display, this damage can take and must be changed.
Yeah, that came with the printer.
