Request interim reference due to change of employer?
Hello everyone,
I've been with my current employer for about a year now. My boyfriend and I plan to move in together soon, meaning I'd be moving to another city. This obviously means changing employers, and I already have an interview lined up in the "new" city. A reference letter is always helpful. A valid reason like parental leave, a change of supervisor, or a new area of responsibility doesn't apply to me, and I haven't been here long enough to warrant one.
I'm always a fan of honesty and am considering requesting an interim reference, citing the reason for moving in together in the future—that way, I'll be completely open. Would you do the same, or would you forego the interim reference as a first step and only request it if the potential new employer requires it?
If things go really badly, I've requested an interim reference but haven't gotten the job – although I could use it for further applications.
Thank you for your help and answers.
Good start to the week and best wishes
Even if it concerns the AG a shit for what you need, you can easily argue that on demand.
If you change your employer, you will receive a job certificate and no intermediate certificate.
You’ve already read what she wrote? She doesn’t change yet. It is only planned and the intermediate product is for this purpose. It’s not that hard to understand.
