Replace graphics card with 2 connectors with GPU with 1 connector?

I got an RTX 3080 that has two identical connectors. My old one only had one connector on top. In my case, I only have one cable, not two.

Now I can't get a picture. Why does one graphics card have two connectors, and what are they for?

These are the power connections, and they need the card too.

Either a 2nd or a split cable. A power supply normally also has several connections for 2+6 pin.

What are they for?

The connections you mean are used to power the graphics card.

Why has one graphics card 2 ports

Because the graphics card needs more power than your old card.

In my case, I only have one cable

Have you ever opened the back and looked at the power supply?

If there is no free cable anymore, you must also need a new power supply.

If the power supply is modular (plug-in cable), you may get a 2nd from the manufacturer, otherwise you need a new power supply. Go over a single cable with a maximum of 300 watts and the card needs 350 watts.

find out which motherboard you have. Then we can tell you if this is even compatible and where the power cables are.
