Rent a domain with Sepa or PSC?

Hey guys,

I'm 17 years old and started programming yesterday. I've created a portfolio (HTML and CSS) just to get started. Since I finished school last week and am currently applying for apprenticeships as a systems integrator, I'd like to make this website public. (So far, it's just the HTML file on my PC.)

The problem here is that I obviously can't leave my laptop running 24/7 to host it myself. I'm planning on renting a virtual machine server through Zap Hosting, as I'd like to get started with things like APIs soon. (I've used Zap Hosting to rent my Minecraft servers before. I've always found them affordable and reliable.)

With Zap-Hosting, I can pay for almost everything with Paysafe, zap-coins (credit), or Sofortüberweisung. However, I can't pay for domains.

I have a bank account, which means that SEPA mandates or instant transfers would be possible.

Now I've looked at other websites like Ionos to rent a domain, but they all want either PayPal or credit card (both are not possible, since I won't be 18 for another 2 months).

My question to you now would be, do you know of any reputable websites where you can rent domains with SEPA, Sofortüberweisung or Paysafe cards?

Thank you in advance for your helpful answers,

Ben 🙂

PS: Asking my parents for their credit card/PayPal is not an option (personal reasons)

Hi,

a good provider would be here eg https://www.gigawebhost.com These come from Germany, have very cheap web servers and other servers, offer a lot of performance and also have the possibility to pay with instant transfer, bill, etc. He does not offer Paysafe. That's enough if you rent a web server there.

If you have more questions, you can ask them here.

Good luck!

You should specify how extensive your provider's offer should be and what level you want. A small V server usually needs to be managed. This requires some know-how. The small server, possibly managed by the provider (eg Goneo, Hetzner) costs significantly more, but then a lot of work is saved. A web hosting package is enough for smaller projects (the resources must then be shared with others).

In addition to direct debit, the invoice can be paid by German providers.
