Race tracks, tourist rides, motorcycle?

Hello,

I really, really want to start racing on the racetrack. I'm 23 and I'm allowed to drive 48 hp on public roads.

What happens if I want to go to the racetrack? I read everywhere that the moped must be street legal. Does the organizer decide that? Or does each track have its own guidelines? For example, D, for example, is clear.

As a complete beginner, do I have to be a member of a club to be allowed to ride a real racing machine?

600cc seems to be recommended, and that's fine. But what are the regulations? Do I need a full motorcycle license?

Does the moped need to have a valid road registration? How do others do this?

There are several ways to ride the motorcycle on the race track.

1. Tourist tours (Nordschleife)

There you can drive with an ingenious machine for which you also have the driver’s license. The StVO applies.

Two. Track training

You can drive with any machine that comes through the technical seam. Glass surfaces are glued, the backlight is blackened. Many build alkes, which is not necessary, e.g. mirrors, KZH, headlights, flashers…

The guidelines are laid down by the organizer, so it is not always necessary to have a driver’s license, you have to wear a kederkombi plus back protector, the helmet must have a double D lock.

You can register on the Lausitzring and drive what you want. You will be notified of the boundary conditions. With 48 hp, you’ll probably be overwhelmed by another two times.

I agree with WECoyote.

But best do some ride trainings first. That makes more than anything else…

you’re trying many things to club.

What you asked is all different things.

Driving on the race track as a tourist (as for example)

Everyone can register – the organizers say road registration and driving license for it. Something’s going on

Track training (for publicity)

here your machine needs only the requirements of the DMSV (as coyote already said- all glued and also the clothing must comply with these regulations) – driving licence is not required. As a private training very expensive

Racing training with club

the same as without club. only that some close together and thus the price for each individual becomes cheaper (this now concerns the asphalt machines, there unfortunately no association has its own route. in off-rouad machines, most clubs have their own route – there you pay an annual amount and you don’t need to pay for the individual trainings anymore)
