Remove stitches after nose surgery yourself (inflamed)?

Hey, I had my nose surgery almost 3 weeks ago, but unfortunately there is a stitch/thread quite far out in my right nostril and it was really annoying. The area around my right nostril is now red and slightly swollen, I think it became inflamed because of the thread. It also hurts a little when I touch the thread. My question now is, can I pull it out myself? My only fear is that it will deform my nostril or something, because I don't know if this thread is important for giving my nose a certain shape, etc. I'm really just worried about the external changes once I pull it out. Does anyone know anything about this? About the surgery: My nasal septum was straightened, my nostrils were made smaller, my turbinates were made smaller, and a few cosmetic changes were made too.

My question now is if I can pull it out of my own?

Prohibiting it is not, but certainly not!

My only fear is that my nose hole is deformed or something,

After 3 weeks, there's probably nothing to deform. The danger is more likely to risk further inflammation if you pull the old thread through the whole wound.

I'm rather surprised that after 3 weeks you still have threads.

Does anyone know each other?

Yes! The attending doctor knows about it!

if there are self-resolving threads, you don't have to pull. If the wound is inflamed and you don't get the doctor on the phone, try your pediatrician, he can hopefully help you. I wouldn't do anything about it

No, you can't. There's the post-care appointment.

Then the threads are self-resolving and should remain in it for so long.
