Remove M.2 with Windows without losing data?
Can I simply remove my M.2 SSD from my laptop, which contains Windows and other files, without losing anything? I'd like to replace it with a new M.2 and erase it using an M.2 to USB adapter, or delete Windows while keeping the files, and then install Windows on the new M.2 using a Windows flash drive. Is that possible?
Hello,
it’s so easy.
It is best to clone the built-in SSS, on the new M.2 SSD,
which is connected to the laptop with the USB-M.2 adapter.
Then you can just trade them or wait for them.

No, I can’t. But you can clone the old plate with the USB adapter.
For example with Macrium Reflect https://www.macrium.com/
But aren’t all the files still on the M.2 even if I remove them from the laptop? So I could theoretically take the M.2 out and copy everything to another via adapter?
