Reliable standard router?

Hello,

My router isn't working anymore, and I need a new one. It doesn't need to be able to do almost anything; Wi-Fi and phone are irrelevant. I use it exclusively via LAN cable for my computer and smart TV. I have a 50k DSL line from Vodafone. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable standard router? There are so many, so expensive, that can do a lot of things I don't need.

Thanks for help!

I also have 50 Mbit/s.

My Speedport W 724V Type B

came from the A&V to 20€ accompanies us now already 7years Reliable has an insane Wlan range you don’t need. But if someday…

You can read the available download value. Without logging into the router.

I didn’t even call Deutsche Telekom a year ago when my band dropped off, they didn’t have a problem with it, they didn’t want to buzz me another one. The announcement was good, we can also read it from here. It was the TAE wall box from which the router gets the signal. I had the menu that the technician found super because you could see it again. And he meant. Leave your fingers away from everything that comes from AVM.

What I came to confirm professionally. I wasn’t employed at Telekom, but with another provider in the technology hotline no sales but technical assistance. They also offered two routers to the owners and the Fritzbox,

Four weeks after delivery was something exemplary. What every new employee didn’t think for the in-house routers there was a question about setup, but the Fritzboxes were row-wise, we said broken. So much on the completely overloaded software Changed nothing else. On average, the 20% calls for the home routers were 80% for the Fritzboxes.

The speedport is still up to date.

I can’t be sure, because I’m not a Vodafone KD.

But

He could connect to the Internet according to the menu,

This means that the router gets a DSL/cable internet signal extended thereto The connection to the can. (when the MFH is also connected to the house distributor) But what you must do.

but I still didn’t have internet access.

Probably because you didn’t set it up

You do as you set up your first.

At Telekom there are access data that came by post. I set up my first router and bought the self. That’s what I wrote on the letter.

I don’t know how this is done with Vodafone, I was hired for 1&1.

Since you only use the router for LAN cables for your computer and smart TV with a 50k DSL line from Vodafone, you don’t need a high-end router with many features you don’t need.

I would recommend the three:

* TP-Link Archer C6: This router offers reliable Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet ports at an affordable price.

* Fritz!Box 7530: This AVM router offers good performance and many features, including child protection and VPN.

* Netgear Nighthawk R6700: This router offers high WLAN speeds and good performance for online gaming and streaming.

I personally use the Fritz!Box 7530.

If you just need a router, I personally take the ER-X. This is a professional device that has no Wi-Fi or “unnecessary” features, but everything you expect from a reasonable router, that is to say free configurable firewall, VLANs. But it can be that we talk past each other, that is a reliable standard router for me and just routers, not this all in one stuff with wlan and modem or phone. I think about 50€, but I don’t have a fashion.

But normally there is a free base router from the provider, which I usually take as a modem and if you really don’t need any functions except routing, then take that.

Don’t you have a loaned Vodafon router?
Then you only need to complain to Vodafon.

My Vodafon cable router (since 2019) worked so far.

I can recommend this from TP Link.

It’s a good router without a lot of buckling. Just do his job.
