Ride?

So, I just started riding again after three years, and I don't have any high riding socks yet, but I do have regular high socks. Is there a difference? I know riding socks are a bit thicker. But is it okay if I wear regular high socks that cover my calves, right? Will people look at me strangely?

I’ve been riding for 42 years, so for a long time before the splices had their socks and I’ve never had “reiter socks”. Marketing that works: make a normal knee hull to riding equipment, attract any arguments to the hair that let people believe they need for any sport other socks and they give money again from 🤷🤦

I’ve been riding for two years without riding socks and I’ve never disturbed. The only thing that can be quite pleasant especially in the summer when it’s warm or if you have sensitive ankles due to kinks are functional socks

No, that’s what’s left, theoretically, even normal socks when you wear boots. It has only naturalized to wear high socks. This is more comfortable with boots to get in and out and if you wear chaps.

However, normal knee stockings are also sufficient, although they are somewhat thinner, they also fulfill their purpose until you have new ones.

No bullshit nobody cares if you have normal socks or riding socks theoretically both go, in my opinion riding socks have another vibe and they sit better in the shoe 🙂

Hi,

that’s cool that you started riding again! 🐴🤍

That with the socks should not be a problem. You finally decide what you’re wearing. Even when riding! Sure, rider socks are a bit thicker and more comfortable because of the boots, but if you wear normal high socks that cover your calves, that’s really okay. I mean, in the end, it’s about you riding well. If you feel comfortable with it, no one will look at you. I wouldn’t care what the others have for socks. :

Have fun and greetings

I have and never had special “resocks”. I’m just wearing the socks I usually wear.

if you don’t care. you can also learn to ride without riding socks, in gym shoes and with cycling helmet – most of whom I know absolutely do not pay attention to the socks

Footwear with heel and a helmet approved for riding can save lives or at least avoid bad accidents (which a beginner can prevent less easily by riding well than a professional) – insofar absolutely important, not to climb on the horse with any helmet and sneakers. A hull makes no difference here.

You don’t need socks that cover the calf. Many carry them to avoid friction with the boot or hold them for optical reasons. Simple normal socks as you are comfortable

you need stinky socks that go to the ankles and minichaps.

What kind of socks doesn’t matter, they’re gonna disappear under the chaps or rides.
The only sneaker socks are inappropriate because then the ankles are exposed.

You don’t see them in the rides anyway.

Then I wouldn’t wear knee socks at all, but socks that don’t look out at the top.

Hello either carry chaps or riding boots, the knee socks are broken when riding
