Is an ID enough to protect yourself from scammers on eBay?

Hello,

Someone wants to sell me a Play Station, but he seems very dubious.
He says his account is blocked until next Wednesday, so I should transfer the money via Paypal or get a voucher from home or something today because otherwise he'll have to sell the Play Station to someone else, since several people have written to him.

I said, "Yeah, sorry, but I've been scammed a lot, so no." And he said, "I'm sorry, should I send you my ID or something?"

would that be enough?

please help me

He can also find the ID on the bus. A scan proves nothing if the person isn’t in real sight

No, ID’s not enough. He could send you some picture, your gut feeling is usually right!
