Are certificates sufficient for AI development?
Hello folks,
I wanted to ask. I trained as an IT specialist for systems integration and have been working in that field for two years now. However, I'm now extremely interested in the topic of AI. I'd like to go into AI in the future, but unfortunately there are almost only jobs for programmers in that field. I've been thinking about becoming an AI developer. I have a basic knowledge of Python, as I used to program a lot earlier (Python, C++, Delphi) both as a hobby and at school (I had a vocational college degree in computer science). However, I'd be reluctant to start another training course to become an application developer, as I'm heavily dependent on the money for personal reasons. So I couldn't do any further training.
My question now is whether it is enough if I first do Python certifications and then do certifications for the AI topic etc. so that I have good job prospects.
I've often heard about the "PCAP™ – Certified Associate Python Programmer" as a Python certification. Perhaps you know of some other ones I could take.
Many thanks and best regards
Honestly, certifications are rather low in application development. You must be able to convey your knowledge, best on the basis of real projects.
I also read that many GitHub use. So would it possibly be enough to create projects, upload them to GitHub and then add a link to the application? I’m sorry I don’t know exactly how this is going “”
That’s what your future employer says. It’s hard to say what the value is.
Alex
well the question was rather meant whether there are generally good job prospects when training on the subject was made 🙂
